Sekisui Chemical is split into three main business areas.

Infrastructure and Environmental Engineering

The business area "Public Infrastructure and Environmental Engineering" is concerned primarily with the construction of sustainable and environmentally compatible systems for water supply. Equally, Sekisui Chemical develops highly effective methods for pipe renewal and very successfully produces generously dimensioned piping made of glass-fibre-reinforced plastic. This area is rounded off by an extensive range of industrial piping systems and building products as well as the Railway Technology segment.

High-Performance Plastics

The "High-Performance Plastics" segment covers many industrial applications including laminated safety glass foil for windscreens and architectural glass, cross-linked polyolefine foams for use in vehicle construction, etc. The "Medical Engineering" segment offers a wide range of pharmaceuticals, diagnostic products and medical equipment. Further business areas within this segment are fine chemicals, special chemicals as well as industrial adhesive tapes and foils.

Housing

The "Housing" segment produces well over 10,000 prefabricated houses every year for the Japanese market, each equipped to a superior quality level. Every house is individually built to the customer's specific needs and meets the most up-to-date standards with regard to energy efficiency.
