Technical characteristics of Calmmoon

Calmmoon has a very long service life.

Material specification

Standard Calmmoon noise suppression sheeting consists of a 1.0 mm synthetic resin layer and a 0.3 mm metal support layer.

Calmmoon weighs only around 3.8 kg per square metre.

Calmmoon noise suppression sheeting is supplied ex works in the standard sizes W/L/H = 30/50/0.13 cm. The layer of synthetic resin is self-adhesive and is covered in an easy-to-remove backing foil.

Reduction in noise radiation

Reductions in noise level of up to 6 dB(A) have been achieved, depending on the particular application.

Fire-resistant synthetic resin layer

The metal support layer and the fire-resistant synthetic resin result in Calmmoon achieving high fire-resistance values.

Based on the results of non-combustibility tests, the Japanese Railway Rolling Stock & Machinery Association and the Japanese Ministry for Land, Infrastructure and Transport granted approval for the use of Calmmoon in rail vehicles in the latest Shinkansen coaches as well as in the shipping sector.
