CALMMOON

Railway bridges

Reduced vibration and noise radiation of the steel constructional elements of railway bridges through the use of Calmmoon.

Installation of Calmmoon

Calmmoon noise suppression sheeting is supplied ex works in the standard sizes W/L/H = 30/50/0.13 cm. The layer of synthetic resin is self-adhesive and is covered in an easy-to-remove backing foil for transportation purposes.

To ensure a clean and even surface for adhesion of the Calmmoon noise suppression sheeting, the structural elements of the bridge that are to be attenuated are cleaned of all dust and grease beforehand.

The backing foil is peeled from the Calmmoon elements which are then stuck onto the steel parts professionally and durably.

Calmmoon is fitted quickly and very effectively. Once this work is completed, the customer has the option of painting the elements the same colour as the underlying structure. Since the Calmmoon material is very thin, this form of noise suppression measure is almost unnoticeable to passers-by. The only thing they notice is a reduction in noise radiation.

Optimum adaptation of Calmmoon

The layer thicknesses of Calmmoon can be ideally adapted to the type of steel structure and the media responsible for radiating the noise in the individual case.
This achieves the best possible reduction in noise for the customer through the use of Calmmoon.

Should it prove necessary to adapt the size of the standard elements to the situation encountered, this can be done quickly and easily using conventional tools. Finally, the edges of the cut surfaces are to be levelled out on the supporting element with a “roller” to achieve an optically perfect surface.
